Because Profitbase Studio incorporates a metadata abstraction layer, the business logic in the Business Templates is independent of the data sources, so new data sources can be added without affecting the business logic or the user's scorecards, dashboards and reports. As a result, new business systems are quickly and easily consolidated so decision makers are provided with one consolidated view of the enterprise.
WYSIWYG Dimension Management
Profitbase Studio provides a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get Dimension Management environment that displays the actual dimension names so users see exactly what their reports and dashboards will look like. Dimensions are manipulated using a drag and drop interface and new parent-child dimension hierarchies are easily created on the fly. Dimensions are built using metadata so they are also independent of the data sources.
Workflow and ETL
Profitbase Studio includes a workflow engine that is used to schedule data updates to the data warehouse and OLAP Cubes. The graphical environment auto-documents every step of each workflow, that can be scheduled at various time intervals or executed on demand.
Integrated Security
